Where to start

ECHO plays music you already have. It does not search NetEase, QQ Music, or Spotify, and it does not download tracks.
What ECHO is for
Section titled “What ECHO is for”ECHO plays and manages your own music files. Import a folder to browse by song, artist, or album, build playlists, display lyrics, and choose your headphones, speakers, or external DAC.
It is not a streaming app. The official product does not search, sign in, stream, or download from those platforms.

Memory
Section titled “Memory”Memory use depends on library size, cached artwork, and enabled features. The author has observed around 1 GB with a library of over ten thousand tracks; your usage may differ.

The official product does not download music, add third-party streaming, or bypass paid access.

Common terms
Section titled “Common terms”| Word | Meaning |

| Library | The catalog ECHO shows. Files stay in their folders |
| Tags | Title, artist, album written in the file |
| Inbox | Newly imported tracks you have not sorted |
| Queue | The songs scheduled to play next, in order |
| Playlist | A set you want to keep |
| System output | The safest path. Use it for Bluetooth too |
| EQ | Adjusts the level of different frequency bands, changing the output signal |
| Remote library | Your own NAS, not a search engine |
Suggested path
Section titled “Suggested path”- Not installed yet: Beginner setup. From Steam: Using the Steam edition.
- Installed: Quick start, hear a few songs.
- After sound works: Daily listening or First week.
- Stuck: Common stuck points. Messy albums: Library. No sound: Audio output.
